Proving Ground Cafe & Roaster

Currently, I work as a barista at Proving Ground Cafe & Roaster. I have worked there since the beginning of summer, 2021. I love the making a wide variety of coffee drinks, as well as the social aspect of the job.

Dairy Queen

I previously worked at Dairy Queen. While workingthere, the Columbia Dairy Queen location received an award for being the friendliest location in the United States. As someone working as a cashier in the drive through window, I believe that I helped contribute to that award.

Junior Counselor at Camp Wartburg

During a week of summer in 2021, I volunteered as a junior counselor. I watched sixteen eight-year-olds, and was their co-caretaker for the week. This required me to be patient, creative, and keep a positive attitude.

"Overall, I think that having work experience at this age is crucial for many reasons. I now have more respect towards [fast] food workers,and know what type of work enviroment I want to create in the future. Getting to manage my own money is another skill that I have found to be useful."
